Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong have the distinction of waxing poetic about marijuana long before films like BONGWATER and HALF BAKED. Other than the classic anti-pot propaganda film REEFER MADNESS, UP IN SMOKE was perhaps the first movie to deal with the subject directly, and it had people rolling in the aisles. STILL SMOKING, the sequel, reminded audiences that they had not changed their opinons on the subject. These two films are a ton of fun and show Cheech and Chong's goofy, laid back approach to movies and storytelling. There's never been another duo like them.
