Prior to this Bathurst had mostly been the domain of little four cylinders then BANG, the 289 Windsor V8 showed what was really needed to tame the biggest hill of all. In this scene one of the seven GT's which fronted the starter for the 1967 Bathurst (Gallaher) 500 is in for a pitstop. Its drivers are two men who would soon become legends - Harry Firth and Fred Gibson. Firth was running the official Ford works team which fielded three cars.
